GreenFi and Kiss the Ground Partnership Overview
We’re excited to announce a new partnership between GreenFi and Kiss the Ground to help regenerate our soil and fight the climate crisis! We are welcoming them as a new partner in our Pay What Is Fair program (PWIF)¹. This means you can now direct your monthly contribution to help Kiss the Ground support farmers transitioning to regenerative agriculture.
Read on for all the details.
Kiss the Ground Has Been Championing Soil Health for Over a Decade
If you’re not familiar with them, Kiss the Ground is an audience-supported nonprofit promoting Regeneration and healthy soil as a viable solution for human and planetary health. Since 2013, they’ve inspired millions to participate in the Regenerative Movement.
Through storytelling, education, and direct farmer support, Kiss the Ground has helped catalyze the transition of over 2.11 million acres to regenerative practices. In 2025 alone, they awarded $500,000 in grants to 215 small farms and ranches across the United States, supporting the regenerative transition of 73,000 acres. Their farmer network spans over 15,000 farms nationwide.
You may also know them from the award-winning Netflix documentary, Kiss the Ground, which has been viewed by millions worldwide, along with the follow-up film Common Ground. Today, they reach 20 million people with content that inspires action around healthy soil and regeneration.
We’re proud to partner with an organization whose mission so closely aligns with ours. Together, GreenFi and Kiss the Ground will work to expand regenerative farming practices and connect our members to a movement that’s reshaping how we grow food and care for the planet.
Kiss The Ground’s Footprint
While research shows that 75% of people want to buy food that improves their health, most still do not know where to find it.
Kiss the Ground’s Regenerative Farm Map highlights farms that embrace at least three Regenerative Farming practices and are on the regenerative journey, and encourages local consumers to support them.
How Your Pay What Is Fair Contribution Helps
Our Standard GreenFi Checking and Savings account† has no required fees. Instead, we use a “Pay What Is Fair” (PWIF)¹ model where you choose what to contribute—even if it’s $0.
We are thrilled to add Kiss the Ground as an official PWIF partner. Now, you have the power to choose. When you opt into PWIF¹, 10% of your contribution supports their mission of regenerating soil and supporting farmers, and the rest supports our mission to help individuals like you take climate action.
A Direct Impact on Our Soil and Farmers
Your contribution goes directly to funding Kiss the Ground's programs, which are driving real, measurable change across American farmland. For every $100 donated, Kiss the Ground inspires and catalyzes the transition of 10 acres into regenerative agriculture. Here's what that looks like in practice:
Supporting farmers with grants, equipment, and hands-on training. In 2025, Kiss the Ground awarded $500,000 in direct grants to 215 small farms across the U.S., helping fund the transition of 73,000 acres to regenerative practices. These grants covered critical needs like no-till drills, mobile chicken coops, fencing, and other equipment that makes regenerative farming possible. The grants also reduced the financial risk of transitioning, so farmers can focus on rebuilding their soil rather than worrying about the upfront costs of changing how they farm. To scale this even further in 2026, Kiss the Ground launched a Farmer Relations Board made up of diverse producers who help shape farmer programs and ensure they're built with equity and inclusion in mind.
Helping sequester carbon, improve water retention, and restore biodiversity. Regenerative practices like cover cropping, reduced tillage, and rotational grazing rebuild healthy soil from the ground up. Healthy soil absorbs more carbon from the atmosphere, holds more water (reducing runoff and drought vulnerability), and supports richer ecosystems on and around farmland. Since 2013, Kiss the Ground has helped catalyze the transition of over 7.5 million acres into regenerative agriculture.
Creating scholarships and training opportunities. Kiss the Ground's education platform offers on-demand courses in both English and Spanish, covering everything from soil advocacy to advanced regenerative gardening. In 2024, they awarded 320 scholarships to these courses, with a focus on reaching people in traditionally marginalized communities. They also partner with organizations like the Soil Health Academy, Regrarians, and Soul Fire Farm, offering 50 training grants exclusively to BIPOC farmers through Soul Fire Farm's FIRE Immersion program.
Developing research and insights to advance farmer adoption. Kiss the Ground works with farmers, consultants, and scientific partners to refine regenerative best practices and lower the barrier to entry. Their farmer network now includes over 15,000 farms nationwide, and their newly launched Regenerative Farm Map connects 200 of those farms directly with local consumers, with plans to feature 1,000 farms by the end of 2026.
Funding storytelling and education that inspires millions. Kiss the Ground reaches over 2 million people every month through content that puts real farmers front and center. Their Stories of Regeneration mini-documentary series has earned over 2 million views, with 90% of viewers discovering Kiss the Ground for the first time. Their 5 with a Farmer short-form series has reached 600,000 viewers and spotlighted 20 regenerative farmers. And their original documentary, Kiss the Ground, has been viewed over 10 million times and is used by 59,000 schools and educators. In 2024 alone, they produced over 70 new pieces of storytelling and educational content.
